Love the Children is proud and honored to have named the Community Resource Center in Larevwa after Taryn Lynne Budd, a beautiful and compassionate young woman who inspires us with her gifts of life, love and hope. Taryn was to be married to the love of her life in December 2017. On November 18th, just weeks before the wedding, Taryn suffered a brain aneurism and suddenly slipped away. As heartbreaking as her death was for all of us who knew and loved her, it is comforting to know that she passed on that love and gave hope to many others. Taryn was proud that she was an organ and tissue donor. This beautiful, 28 year old young lady's memory is now living inside others. A 32 year old female received her kidney, a 30 year old female received her lungs and liver, a 55 year old father of two received her heart. Others received corneas, skin and other organs and tissues. Her gifts have given life and love to others and hope to so many more. With Taryn as an example, the Taryn Center stands as an expression of Christ’s love and hope for those who live in and around Larevwa Haiti. The many men and women in the village who have given their time and energy to construct the buildings and operate the center and the organizations and individuals in North America that provided the funds have all demonstrated His love. The Taryn Center and the activities that it continues to provide give life, love and the hope of escaping the poverty that so many Haitians live with every day.
